KFM is looking to fill the following positions immediately:
Cruising Coordinator (1 position)
- Our ideal candidate:
- - will be a RFT or eligible to register with the ABCFP as a TFT;
- - will have 5 years of experience cruising timber in B.C.;
- - will have experience in timber development and layout;
- - will have a demonstrated capacity to effectively manage forestry field crews;
- - can demonstrate competencies in leadership, goal orientation, communication, and performance in the practice of field forestry.
Forestry Technicians (3 positions)
- Our ideal candidate:
- - will have post-secondary education in the natural sciences and/or technical forestry applications;
- - will have 2 years experience in timber development, cruising, and layout;
- - will have a demonstrated ability and ambition to work in an outdoor environment;
- - can demonstrate competencies in physical ability and professional work habits.

KFM is looking to fill the following positions for the upcoming field season:
Accredited Silviculture Surveyor:
- Our ideal candidate:
- - will be accredited by the Ministry of Forests to conduct silviculture surveys;
- - will have 2 years post accreditation experience;
- - will have experience in Free Growing, Stocking, Brushing and Pre-Stand Tending surveys;
- - can demonstrate ability in forming sound recommendations based on on-site factors;
- - can demonstrate competencies in physical ability and professional work habits.
Silviculture Survey Assistant:
- Our ideal candidate:
- - will have high school equivalency with a high grade average;
- - demonstrate a desire and willingness to achieve higher level education and professional development;
- - will have a demonstrated ability and ambition to work in an outdoor environment;
- - can demonstrate competencies in physical ability and professional work habits.
All applicants must have a valid BC Drivers Licence. Travel is a requirement of all positions. Work requirements include willingness to work in remote locations, in adverse weather conditions, and to fly in fixed or rotary winged aircraft.
Candidates will be assigned duties and wages commensurate with proven abilities and/or qualifications.
